chat_bubble Tell All book set to hit the shelves.
Former Falcon Catcher and Ironman Mike Murphy gives us a blunt and brutally honest behind the scene look at the Falcons Baseball organization in his new tell all book Catcher in the Wry due to hit the shelves this fall.

The 16 year veteran pulls no punches in the honest, hard hitting and sometimes controversial recollections of past and current players.

The book is written in its entirety by the Ironman, except for the bits that were written by someone else, and though not yet through final editing we have managed to obtain a few excerpts from the original notes and drafts:

On The Legend Jerry Tone His career was suddenly revitalized in the 2006 season. Everyone knows hes on prune juice but management and the league are turning a blind eye to it.

On Junior . spends far too much time worrying about the feelings of his team mates.

On DC Doesnt know the recipe for Kraft Dinner need I say more?

On Perry Everyone thinks hes a nice guy but he spreads his stuff out and takes up two whole seats on the bench

On Sean There is no black and white with this guy only about 50 shades of grey

On Kenny Clarke "The guy used to hang out at the ballpark until sunrise. Why? We don't know"

On Pitching Ash has been doctoring the ball for years. There is nothing harder to hit than a scuffed, 3 mph softball.

On retiring I knew it was time to retire when I showed up to the game and was told there were no visitors allowed on the bench.

On backward hats The Dunn brothers and Bird secretly supported then President Joey in his 2010 bid to legitimize wearing your hat backwards.

On Barry its a known fact Barry loves his pizza perhaps just a little too much

Plus the inside stories on
Porter and Clarkie and Flo and Glo.
Chad and the Tea Bag.
The real weight of Dennis' old bat...,
