With news floating around the league about the Devils' light hearted play vs. other WMSPL teams (queue the boyscout uniform game and the pull-names-from-a-hat makeshift batting order game as a couple of examples) compared to their gritty and focussed play vs. the Falcons, all signs point to the facetious 2012 Decima-Tone Survey Results news post as being the reason.
While no hard feelings were intended, appears the news post hit a nerve with the Devils. Consequently, the Falcons would like to publicly apologize for posting such shenanigans and have since sent Devils' super star outfileder, Ryan Rayner, this Falcons Sorry Bear in an attempt to mend fences:
