Mother Nature had had enough of being nice to us this summer, so she rained out 4 games over two days this week. Fewer games means less movement in the standings, and therefore, the rankings.
#1. A's
(Rank last week: 1)
Record: 19-1-3 (1-0-0 this week)
1st place in the President's Division (1st overall in WMSPL)
A second straight week for the A's only playing on Sunday due to weather. But they won, beating SI play by seven. They have a tough doubleheader coming up on Sunday, beginning with Broadway and closing with Coulas. They have to lose again at some point this season, don't they?
#2. Broadway
(Rank last week: 2)
Record: 19-5-2 (1-2-0 this week)
2nd place in the President's Division (2nd in WMSPL)
They won by default on Sunday, so they used all that pent up energy to destroy the Falcons on Wednesday. Their Sunday doubleheader is one of nightmares: A's early, Storm late. Can they extend their winning streak to four games?
#3. Storm
(Rank last week: 3)
Record: 17-5-1 (1-0-0 this week)
3rd place in the President's Division (3rd overall in WMSPL)
The Joey-less Storm squeaked out a win on Sunday against Hanet by a single run, and got rained out on Tuesday. This allowed Duran more time to go play with the Admirals, for whom he played well (I assume. I've never seen them play.)
#4. Rebels
(Rank last week: 4)
Record: 14-11-0 (1-1-0 this week)
2nd place in the Vice President's Division (5th th in WMSPL)
The Rebels split their Sunday doubleheader, maintaining their 1-game deficit to the Falcons in the VP division. However thanks to Broadway laying a beat-down on those Falcons, they moved to within a half-game of the lead. The Rebels and Falcons play each other again this Sunday, winner stands alone atop the division. Come watch!
#5. SI Play
(Rank last week: 5)
Record: 13-11-1 (0-1-0 this week)
4th place in the President's Division (6th in WMSPL)
No big shame in losing to the A's, so SI maintains their spot in the rankings.
#6. Falcons
(Rank last week: 7)
Record: 15-11-0 (1-2-0 this week)
1st place in the Vice President's Division (4th in WMSPL)
After a split in the Sunday doubleheader, the Falcons maintained a 1-game lead over the Rebels for the VP division lead. As long as the Falcons continue to have to play the first inning of all these ball games, winning will be an uphill climb. As Chief Statistician of the Falcons Stevie B noted, the Falcons have a dismal run differential in the first inning over their last 11 games (-47), but are +22 for the rest of the game. Anyone know where the team can get smelling salts?
#7. Bollocks
(Rank last week: 8)
Record: 9-13-1 (1-0-0 this week)
3rd place in the Vice President's Division (Tied for 7th in WMSPL)
Greenth... I mean BOLLOCKS didn't even play this week, beating Re/Max on Sunday by default and then getting rained out on Monday. But they didn't lose, either. Obviously Carleton's return has turned their ship around (for clarification's sake, he has turned it around so that it's now facing the RIGHT direction. I can see how you'd think the opposite)
#8. Coulas Bone Crushers
(Rank last week: 6)
Record: 10-12-2 (0-2-0 this week)
5th place in the President's Division (Tied for 7th in WMSPL)
Coulas couldn't get a team together for Sunday's game, and lost to Surge on Wednesday by [checks notes...] more than five field goals (God I miss the NFL).
#9. Brew Crew
(Rank last week: 11)
Record: 9-15-1 (2-0-0 this week)
4th place in the Vice President's Division (9th in WMSPL)
What a fantastic Sunday for the Brew Crew! They destroyed Surge in game one, and destroyed the Falcons in inning one of game two. That first inning was enough to cruise to victory.
#10. Hanet Plastics
(Rank last week: 9)
Record: 7-15-3 (0-1-0 this week)
6th place in the President's Division (10th in WMSPL)
Thanks to some bad mid-week weather, Hanet only played once this week, and lost a heart-breaker to Storm.
#11. Surge
(Rank last week: 12)
Record: 4-22-0 (1-2-0 this week)
6th place in the Vice President's Division (12th in WMSPL)
After getting swept in two-straight on Sunday, they rebounded with a win over Coulas on Wednesday, and that win moved them up out of the basement of the rankings.
#12. Re/Max Crossroads
(Rank last week: 10)
Record: 5-18-0 (0-1-0 this week)
5th place in the Vice President's Division (11th in WMSPL)
Re/Max couldn't even get a team together for Sunday, and lost by default. Then they got rained out on Monday. They didn't win... didn't even play when they could.

Hey Dunner, with 11 games left on the schedule I believe it is now time to track the annual SLF softball mendoza line (.600 average for you rooks out there). He's at .578 for the year, my bet is he gets hot over the last few games and squeaks over the .600 mark for the year.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!! Go back and listen to the FALCAST, dude. The Mendoza line was CLEARLY set at .500, which I am trending towards, but otherwise above.

Fine, but mendoza is not a high bar. You should clear .600 easy with those wheels. My money and betting reputation are on the line here.

I'm going with history on this one...
My bet is the self-imposed pressure to achieve his yearly goal becomes too much, and SLF does this:
