assignment Falcons win Season Opener

The Falcons, Whitby's most beloved team, won their season opener 16 -11 over Greenthumb Woodland.An all around balanced attack with contributions from the entire lineup allowed the Falcon's to erase an early 2 - 0 deficit and score runs consistently in each inning.
Rookie newcomer, Greg, homered in his first game with a second one called back when the seventh inning could not be completed and is somewhat reminiscent of a young Jerry Tone back in the days when games were played under propane lights. Homers also went to Barry and Chris with a Chef shot also called back in the incomplete seventh
