Coming into the home stretch the Falcon's faced the Rebels. On paper it should have been easy but the Rebels are a much better team than their record indicates and the game isn't played on paper.

Rebels jumped out to an early lead scoring 5 in the bottom of the first, courtesy of a grand-Stan homerun. After a two week layoff the Falcons were back but their bats weren't and Rebels held a 6 - 2 lead after two innings.

Though the Falcons are noted as a high scoring team their defense cannot be overlooked (second best in the league) and it was the defense that went into high gear as they shut down Rebels for the rest of the game and slowly nibbled at the lead.

With 2 out in the fifth the ageless veteran Jerry drove in a couple on a solid single to make it 6 -5 then two more runs scored in the top of the sixth as the Falcons finally took the lead by one. Final score in this one, Falcons 7 - Rebels 6,
