In an age where players have their rituals and superstition can affect performance, the Falcons faced a double challenge yesterday.It was a rare Friday the 13th. game and in a shameless display of unsportsmanlike conduct the Storm showed up at the park at 11:30 a.m. to lay claim to the Falcon bench, catching Falcon coach Junior by surprise on his arrival at noon.
With a full turnout for the game the Falcons rose above the superstitious beliefs and feeble attempt to disrupt their game plan by sending 54 batters to the plate and banging out 28 hits and a team high 7 walks on their way to a 25 - 8 victory.
