It started out looking like another low scoring night for the Falcons as the Coulas Bone Crushers shortened lineup, took a 7 to 3 lead after two and a half. But in the bottom of the third something happened.

Its difficult to say exactly what. Perhaps fear of coach Cashly, perhaps Falcon pride or maybe it was a response to the almost audible cheering of the 3 fans - who can say for sure - but fans, after 8 very uncharacteristic games this season the Falcons finally woke up and when the dust had settled they had sent 53 batters to the plate and banged out 25 runs to win this one.

With new fines imposed after Wednesday's disheartening loss, the entire lineup responded to contribute to this win including the Legend Jerry Tone, who skipped his 4th inning nap (Section 9, parargraph XII in his player contract) to crank out a bases clearing double.

One game is not a trend but the fans are hopeful that Whitby's most beloved team is back.
