With players finally returning, the Falcons turned in one of their better defensive performances of the season in the Monday night matchup with Greenthumb / Woodland.The offense also showed up for this game as Whitby's most beloved team scored 16 runs on the way to the win. The one win in a row now equals their longest streak this season.
The big inning came in the sixth when they sent 14 batters to the plate. The inning started with a Perry power single but the highlight was a two out bases loaded bunt by Shooter Bill that scored a run and saw everyone safe.
Said the Shooter "I was a little surprised when I got the bunt sign from Junior at third but was afraid to argue with him". Asked after the game Junior said he was just scratchng and Bill mis-interpreted the sign.
Kudo's to Todd Greenwood who made it fan appreciation night by handing out baseballs to the young spectators.
