assignment Short Devils Squad Squeaks Out Victory Over Falcons
Sunday 6:30PM August 11th, 2013
Despite a double, a homer and four ducks from Dougothy, the Falcons couldnt beat a 9-man Devils team falling 13-12 on Sunday evening.Every game is an important game at this point the in the season for the Falcons (20-9), but the team came out flat in this one. They took a 3-1 lead into the bottom of the third inning, but allowed the Devils a four-spot to take the lead. The Falcons scored five in the fifth to retake the lead but couldnt hold it. The Falcons scored again in the sixth and seventh, taking a two-run lead. The Devils tied the game and loaded the bases with one out, and a seeing-eye single won it.
Coming up for the Falcons: another must-win, this time at Bradley, then a make-or-break double header on Sunday, home to arch-rivals Xtreme and Storm.

The beat writer is a non-salaried freelancer who is completely unbiased. He's dumb for sure, but not dumb enough to cross Goliath by taking away his precious dingers.
The scorekeeper is to blame, who marked his two-run shot as a single.
Go Falcons.
