That goddamn time limit reared it's ugly head once again, as the Falcons' come back came up just short in a 17-14 loss to the Devils on a beautiful Sunday evening on K1.

Even a short Devils team is a strong one, as evidenced by the 7 players who showed up for them this evening. Aided by pickups from the parking lot, they were able to get up to the league mandated maximum of 9 if you start with 7. That meant they could only put 3 guys in the outfield. You know what that means? HIT PARADE!!!

NOT!!

The Falcons only managed to hit a gap once all game when Sasquatch lined a three-bagger to right centre in the sixth inning, the Falcons' most productive of the day. Of the 24 hits the Falcons managed, only 6, or 25% of them, were for extra bases.

The Devils, on the other hand, had the big guns show up. They scored multiple times in every inning except the 4th and 7th, and were it not for a snow man in the 6th by the Falcons, this would have been a laugher for them.

Sure, a one game winning streak isn't really worth writing about, but it was a win. Well, it's over now, and the Falcons will be right back out there, short a full squad seemingly as usual, on Monday night at 8:00 on K1 to face the pesky Plastics of Hanet.

Cycle Watch: The last time a Falcon hit for the cycle was May 19, 2010. Nothing to report today

Game Notes: Obviously upset that SLF left out his frozen rope grand slam in Friday's recap of the A's game, Tank told SLF to "swing at the first pitch" in his last AB before the time limit, and SLF swung at a pitch headed over the backstop, resulting in a groundout to first... One-out has played 21 games, and has a 21 game hitting streak... Tank did not hit a grand slam today... Dinner hit a home run without the aid of "incentives"... They only had three outfielders, guys!!
