Birthday Boy Dinner went deep for a Birthday Dinger (not THAT kind of Birthday Dinger. Get your mind out of the gutter), but it was all for naught as the A's sent the Falcons packing to extend their losing streak to 3 games with a decisive 18-9 victory on Sunday night.

There was much excitement amongst the fan base for this game, with the attendance doubling between when the previous shitshow against Storm ended at 9:25 and this game began at 9:30. Sadly, the Falcons could not deliver for the assembled crowd. The Falcons have lost 3 in a row and 4 of 5.

As the visiting team, the Falcons led off the first with excitement as SLF stumbled his way to his third three-bagger of the season, narrowly missing a lead off Porter. Anyone who's been paying attention knew that ball wasn't going over the fence. SLF only hits balls over the fence in the first inning if two other have already done so. You can look it up. The triple was wasted when the A's didn't play sound fundamental ball and concede the run to take the out at first when Fo' Shizzle attempted to drive the run in with a grounder to the right side. The Falcons plated 2 in the top of the first to take a short-lived lead.

The A's "Stormed" back in the bottom of the frame with a 4-spot to take the lead. The Falcons put up 1 in the second, and 3 in the third to take a 6-5 lead into the fourth.

That's when things went pear-shaped. After putting up a crooked number in the top of the fifth, the A's opened the floodgates and scored 8 in the bottom half to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish. The win for the A's avoids a season sweep at the hands of the WMSPL's most beloved slo pitch team.

Cycle Watch: The last time a Falcon hit for the cycle was May 19, 2010. The birthday boy hit the two most difficult, a homer and a triple, but could muster nothing else.
