assignment Storm Completes Season Sweep Over Hapless Falcons
Sunday 5:00PM August 30th, 2015

The game started off promising for the Falcons, as the first 6 batters reached base, including a bases clearing grand slam by Big Cat. Storm answered right back with 6 of their own in the bottom half to tie it up.
Two more for the visitors in the top of the second gave them back the lead, but a snow man for Storm right after that sent the Falcons bats into hiding. Nothing but delicious doughnuts for the Falcons until the sixth when One-out went deep with two aboard, and offensively, that was it.
Of the six rostered Falcons listed on the team page as outfielders, 5 had signed out of this game. I wish I could say that having three infielders playing on the grass made a difference.
Storm scored in every inning but the fourth, running their record to 34-2.
The Falcons still have an outside shot at the #2 playoff seed, but they'll need to win out and get some help. A lot of help.
Pregame Checklist:

Cycle Watch: The last time a Falcon hit for the cycle was May 19, 2010. Don't even ask about today.
Game Notes: By going 0 for 4, SLF snapped his 17 on-base streak... Team chemistry needs a boost prior to the playoffs...
