The Falcons put up 10 runs in the sixth inning to pull away from the rebuilding Rebels in an 18-6 victory to get the team back to .500 on Wednesday night on K1.

Still licking their wounds from the spanking laid upon them the previous Friday by the A's, a third of the team didn't even show up for this one. Those who did were hungry. Hungry for runs, and for Big Cat, SLF and Goliath, hungry for pizza. Between the 3, they struck out 4 times to add a tidy sum to the pizza fund.

Dougie Fresh broke out of his 1 game slump with 3 hits and 2 RBI, but that paled in comparison to his defence. He didn't let a ball by him all night, and turned several double plays (not including ones where the runner was clearly out but called safe).

Lonny "Can I wear my fit bit to the plate?" Dayton had two jacks, one of which was a selfish, selfish solo shot to lead off the fifth inning. Poutine continued to be the early leader for team MVP, hitting 3 two-baggers and cashing 3 ducks.

Big weekend for the Falcons coming up with two very difficult games on Sunday in a double header. First they'll go on the road to K2 to face the Storm, then home to K1 against Hanet.

Cycle Watch: The last time a Falcon hit for the cycle was May 19, 2010.

Game Notes: Barry can stay in Ohio. He's provided us with his replacement... SLF's injury from being hit straight in the face by a batted Hot Dot is not serious. The injury would not have occurred if the ball was a Gray Dot... Two home runs this evening landed in the playground. No injuries were reported, even without the crossing guard there.
