SLF Has Career Game, Falcons Crush Crushers

SLF and Teets had perfect nights at the plate, SLF hit a grand slam, SLF had 9 RBI, and Zed went yard as well as the Falcons finished off the month of June with a bang in a 23-10 win over Coulas on Wednesday night.

Everything was coming up Milhouse for SLF: he came up with the bases loaded twice and had extra base hits both times. A two-bagger in the 4th and a long hot salami in the 5th accounted for 6 of his career-best 9 RBI on the night. The shock and awe of such a performance nearly overshadowed Teets' fabulous night. Teets went 5-for-5 pounding out 4 singles, a double and cashing 4 ducks himself.

Late sign-outs by Junior Jenkins (lower body injury) and Big Cat (lame excuse) allowed the nine-man bench to see a lot of opportunity at the plate. If it weren't for the WMSPL mandated 85-minute time limit, most of the batting order would have seen seven plate appearances each. A bat-around 7th (including SLF's 10th RBI and a potential for an 11th) were wiped out at 10:55 PM.

Inside-the-park Home Run Watch: The last time a Falcon hit an inside-the-park home run was July 23, 2012. Dinner hit a triple, but that's as close as anyone got.

Game Notes: Poutine has announced his candidacy for the lead off spot, going 5-for-6 (5x 1B)... Bill's new bat is SLF's best friend (sorry Stumpy)... It can't be stated enough what good sportsmen the Coulas team is. Always upbeat, and the catchers they loaned us ACTUALLY CAUGHT THE BALL.
