The Falcons lost their third straight, dropping game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader 29-14 to the variously-clad A's.

Playing as the home team in this one, the Falcons managed to only retire one A (one Athletic?) in the top of the first before they reached the 6-run max. Undaunted, the Falcons responded with five of their own to pull within one.The A's put up a 5-spot in the top of two, but as Miner Leaguer so confidently pointed out, "That's statistically better... we recorded 3 outs!"

In response, the Falcons scored a couple and after two the A's led 11-7.

The teams exchanged doughnuts in the third inning, and after the A's could only put up one in the fourth, the Falcons had a bottle-rocket sized explosion of five runs in the bottom half to tie it up.

Then the wheels fell off.

The A's sent 13 men to the plate in the fifth, and put up ten. So angry were the Falcons that they exploded in the bottom of the fifth with a single by Million Dollar Bill, then a fly-out to right-centre, a fly-out to left-centre, and a fly-out to right field. Bill remained on first waiting for a bus that would never arrive.

Up ten, the A's continued to pour it on, like the sugar by Def Leppard on, well, me I guess. They sent ANOTHER 13 men to the plate, but "only" scored 7. The highlight of this inning was Travis crushing a home run out with the league's wood bat.

In the bottom of the sixth, Dunner led off with a single, and scored on Grahambo's "triple" mostly because he had decided that the only way he'd stop running is if he got shot. The Falcons scored two and gave up and headed for the cooler.
