assignment Ties are stupid too

At least we scored some runs this game! And I suppose didn't lose!The top of the first saw Shohei give up a couple runs. The Falcons shook off their collective rust in the bottom half of the inning, with an RBI walk from Beatty, and RBI singles from Dr. J, Million Dollar Bill, Poutine, and an RBI fielder's choice from Miner Leaguer. Falcons up 5-2 after one.
Donuts from both teams in the 2nd were followed by a Triple Play 5 spot in the third. The Falcons again couldn't score in the 3rd, before another 5 runs from Triple Play including a Jose grand slam (ouch) in the top of the 4th. Triple Play up 12-5 in the middle of the 4th inning.
Thankfully the good guys put up a max 6 in the bottom half of the 4th, powered by a 2 RBI Poutine single, and RBI singles from Old Jer, Cowboy, More Handsome Jer, and Barry. Falcons within one down 12-11 after four.
New Jer had some words of wisdom for Shohei following the Jose grand slam, suggesting a higher arc on pitches would help against the Triple Play power hitters. It seemed to work too, with Shohei and the Falcons D allowing only a Triple Play 2 spot in the top of the 5th, and 1 run in the top of the 6th to the heart of the Triple Play batting order. With the Falcons scoring only 1 run behind a Chad RBI single in the 5th, the Falcons were down 14-12 in the middle of the 6th inning.
In the bottom of the 6th Less Handsome Jer would plate 1 with an RBI triple, before distracting the Triple Play infielders with some freaky looking dance moves at third long enough to let Cowboy leg out an infield single. Can't wait to see you do that on the dance floor at the banquet, Jer! Barry knocked in two with a triple, and Beatty one more with a double, Falcons up 16-15 after six.
The bottom of the Triple Play order scored 1 in the top of the 7th. Needing only a single run for a dramatic walk off victory, a Miner Leaguer double was all the offence the Falcons could muster in the bottom of the 7th. Tie game, 16-16.
